TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO REGISTER TO VOTE, YOU MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS

  • You must be a citizen of the United states.
  • You must live in the state of Alabama.
  • You must be at least 18 years of age on or before election day.
  • You cannot be barred from voting by reason of a disqualifying felony conviction.
  • You cannot have been judged "mentally incompetent" in a court of law.

NOTICE TO ALL VOTERS

PHOTO ID IS REQUIRED IN ALABAMA

Act 2011-673 requires each Alabama voter to have a specific type of photo identification in order to vote

A voter can used any of the following forms of PHOTO ID at the polls:

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Valid Non-driver ID
  • Valid AL Photo Voter ID
  • Valid State Issued ID (Alabama or any other state)
  • Valid Federal Issued ID
  • Valid US Passport
  • Valid Military ID
  • Valid Tribal ID

Valid Employee ID from Federal Government, State of AL, County Government, Municipality, Board, Authority, or other entity of this state.


Valid student or employee ID from a college or university in the State of AL (including postgraduate technical or professional school.)

Voters who do not have an approved ID may be eligible to receive a free Alabama photo voter ID. A voter who does not present an approved photo ID on election day may vote by provisional ballot or other legal means, as provided by law.
